How to Get from the Airport to Your Hotel

The Zurich airport is well connected to the city center by public transport. Either take the train (faster) or the tram (streetcar) number 10 (much slower) from the airport to the main railway station of Zurich ("Hauptbahnhof", "Zürich HB"). From there you can take the tram/bus or a taxi to your hotel. The timetable is available on the website of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).

A ticket for the tram or train from the airport to the city costs CHF 7.20 and is valid for 1 hour on any train, tram, and bus within the city and the airport area (i.e., you may swap between different lines as many times as you like within this time limit). Alternatively, you can purchase a city day pass (including the airport zone) that is valid for 24 hours for all train, tram, and bus lines and that costs CHF 14.40. To do so, simply choose a return ticket. All tickets must be bought before boarding the train, tram, or bus. They can be bought from a ticket machine, or with the ZVV mobile phone app or the SBB mobile phone app.

Alternatively, you can take an airport taxi (no need for reservation, approximately CHF 50–70).

How to Get to the Conference Hotel from Downtown

Take tram (streetcar) number 6/14 in the direction of the Zoo. Get off at the final stop ("Zoo", 15 minutes from "Hauptbahnhof"). The conference hotel can now be seen slightly uphill to your left on the edge of the woods and overlooking Zurich. An easy walk will get you there in less than five minutes.

Tickets must be purchased before boarding the tram. Perhaps the most convenient ticket is a 24-hour city pass (=return ticket, valid on all train and tram and bus lines within the city, costing CHF 9.40). It can be bought from a ticket machine, or online via the website of the ZVV Zurich Public Transport Network ("Zone 110 (Zurich)"), the ZVV mobile phone app, or the SBB mobile phone app.

How to Get to the Banquet from the Conference Hotel

The banquet takes place at the restaurant Blaue Ente.

Take tram (streetcar) no. 6 until the "Kirche Fluntern" (4 stops). From there (on the same platform) take bus no. 33 (towards "Tiefenbrunnen") to "Wildbachstrasse" (12 minutes). Then walk along the tracks in the same direction, turn slightly left onto Seefeldstrasse and cross the tracks. The restaurant is in the compound on the left, just after Arosastrasse.
