Visitor Information for IZS 2012

How to Get from the Airport to Your Hotel

The Ben Bus is a shuttle service between the airport and many city hotels including the conference hotel (Sorell Hotel Zürichberg) and all hotels on our list. You can also take a taxi, of course (approximately 50-60 CHF).

A cheaper alternative is to take the train or the tram (streetcar) number 10 from the airport to the main railway station of Zurich ("Hauptbahnhof") and a taxi or the tram/bus to your hotel. The ticket for the tram or train from the airport to the city, which is also valid as a city day pass for 24 hours for all tram and bus lines is 12.80 CHF. The timetable is available on the website of the ZVV Zurich Public Transport Network.

How to Get to the Conference Hotel from Downtown

Take tram (streetcar) number 6 in the direction of the Zoo. Get off at the final stop ("Zoo", 15 minutes from "Hauptbahnhof"). The conference hotel can now be seen a little higher up at the border of the woods and overlooking Zurich. An easy walk will get you there in less than five minutes.

Tram tickets must be bought before entering the tram. Perhaps the most convenient ticket is a 24-hour city pass (valid on all tram and bus lines, 8.20 CHF).
