Visitor Information for IZS 2024How to Get from the Airport to Your HotelThe airport is well connected to the city by public transport. Either take the train (faster) or the tram (streetcar) number 10 (much slower) from the airport to the main railway station of Zurich ("Hauptbahnhof", "Zürich HB"). From there you can take the tram/bus or a taxi to your hotel. The timetable is available on the website of the Swiss Train (SBB). The ticket for the tram or train from the airport to the city is CHF 7.00, and it is valid on any train, tram, and bus within the city and the airport area for 1 hour (i.e., you may swap between different lines arbitrarily within this time limit). You can also choose the same ticket to serve as a city day pass that is valid for 24 hours for all train, tram, and bus lines for CHF 14.00. The ticket must be bought before entering the train or tram. It can be bought from a ticket machine, or with the ZVV mobile phone app. Alternatively, you can take an airport taxi (no need for reservation, approximately CHF 50–60). How to Get to the Conference Hotel from DowntownTake tram (streetcar) number 6 in the direction of the Zoo. Get off at the final stop ("Zoo", 15 minutes from "Hauptbahnhof"). The conference hotel can now be seen a little higher up at the border of the woods and overlooking Zurich. An easy walk will get you there in less than five minutes. Tram tickets must be bought before entering the tram. Perhaps the most convenient ticket is a 24-hour city pass (valid on all tram and bus lines within the city, CHF 9.20). It can be bought from a ticket machine, or online on the website of the ZVV Zurich Public Transport Network ("Zone 110 (Zurich)"), or with the ZVV mobile phone app. How to Get to the Banquet from the Conference HotelThe banquet takes place at the restaurant Haus zum Rüden. Take tram (streetcar) number 6 until the stop "Central" (15 minutes). From there you can take tram number 4 (in the direction of "Tiefenbrunnen") for two more stations to "Rathaus". Or you can walk from Central along the river (10 minutes). To See in ZurichSee also https://www.zuerich.com
